The Killer Among Us
In the harrowing midst of the Vietnam War, “The Killer Among Us” follows Private Wilks, a young and inexperienced soldier, as he navigates the psychological and supernatural horrors of combat. When his platoon, led by the increasingly unhinged Sergeant Miller, massacres a village and triggers a malevolent curse, the soldiers begin to descend into madness. As eerie apparitions and dark rituals emerge from the jungle’s depths, Wilks must confront the demons both within and around him. In a desperate struggle for survival and sanity, he faces the ultimate horror: the realization that the true killer among them might be the darkness lurking in every human soul.
This project was the one that ignited my passion for film poster design from the very start. Our instructor handed out the titles and let our imaginations run wild, giving us the freedom to create whatever came to mind. When I received The Killer Among Us, I set out to capture the essence of a psychological thriller set against the backdrop of war, infused with a touch of cosmic horror. Immersing myself in the story and translating it into a visual piece was an exhilarating experience, resulting in a poster that would make my younger self proud.
