A Whole New World
During my time at InFocus Film School, creating an illustrated map of Disneyland's Adventureland was one of the most exciting and ambitious projects I tackled. The objective of the project was to create any map of our choosing and I wanted to explore my imagination with either designing Hobbiton or Disneyland's Adventureland. I'm quite proud I chose the latter because I got to dwell deep into my creativity and subject to fond memories of visiting Disneyland. Adventureland has always been a personal favorite, so capturing its magic and appeal was a goal of mine. I wanted the audience to feel the same excitement reading this map as they are visiting. I wanted this map to be more than just a guide, it needed to evoke that adventurous spirit that makes Adventureland so special. From creating icons to mocking up fun merch samples, I was on a roll to creating the spirit to life in every detail. My goal was to make each piece feel like a cherished memento, adding the touch of wonder and nostalgia to a map while celebrating one of Disneyland's most iconic sections.
